This is a painting that I did with Peter John De Villiers, Matt Morris, and Zach Mason in 2005

After hanging the work for the show, owner of Bold Hype Gallery, Eric Althin suggested that I do a quick mural on the main wall. Â This was done in acrylic and ink in less than a couple hours, and was finished right before the gallery doors opened to the public.

This is a new painting that I had recently done for a group show at Bold Hype Gallery. Â It’s stylistically done in a very similar vein as some of the work in the EctoLava series, but the approach was different. Â Instead of the painting being all oil, I painted with oil on top of an old piece I had done in spray paint and left some of the spray paint showing through.
